Visions of Iran to screen ‘Spotted Yellow’

‘Spotted Yellow’ is to be screened at the Iranian Film Festival Cologne in Germany.

Short flick ‘Spotted Yellow’ has been set to be screened at the Iranian Film Festival Cologne (Visions of Iran) in Germany.

Directed by Baran Sarmad, the 12-minute film is about Roya, a girl who has a yellow spot on her face.

One day she feels the signs of a real giraffe within and her life starts to change gradually.

“She sees her spots. She hears her voice and she feels her,” a tagline for ‘Spotted Yellow’ reads.

According to Sarmad, the flick is about a girl who has a dream and does whatever it takes to achieve the longing.

Shadi Karamroudi is the only actress in the flick.

‘Spotted Yellow’ went on screen at some global events, including the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, the Chicago International Film Festival in the US, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, the Glasgow Short Film Festival in Scotland, and the Atlanta Film Festival in the US.

The 2021 edition of the Visions of Iran is scheduled to take place online in Cologne, Germany on June 10-20.
